This was a Saturday that was really needed. After the week of work that I had, I felt drained and beat. Not that I was over whelmed or stressed with deadlines, but sometimes you just need a break from a place that isn't so happy or up lifting. I tend to take the mood the company is in and this week it was a bad mood. I came home most of the week complaining and very unhappy. Needless to say I got over and moved on, we all get those days and in this case, a week.
Going to Loris' house for a BBQ with Tom, Bonnie, Reuben and my little family (even Capone) was a good break. It's rare that I see Lori, I'm guessing once a year, if that. We had a small but tastey dinner a few games of pool, that Lori and Tom conquered. Lori warned us, not to put them on a team, but we didn't listen and decided to do a couples thing. I hope we learned our lesson. I'm guessing we didn't. :) That's okay.
I really should have brought my camera, but didn't even think about it until now. It would have been nice to get a few pictures of Lori and Tom. Tom, I'm hoping will become apart of the family. He's such a nice guy and has been Lori's boyfriend for a while now, no clue how long. But I like him! He's way too quiet though, or is it that we just too loud?
Saturday was fun, but not much to talk about and tomorrow we will be going back to Mike's parents' house for dinner (the usual). That's fine, Mikey really loves his Grandpa and Grandma. That Aunt Shanna has sure fattened up my boy, I can barely carry him around. He doesn't stop eating and she doesn't stop feeding him. Although he is a nonstop eater, he is still under weight, yup, he is cursed with the Almond gene.
It's time to put the little man to bed.
Good night!
