First Step

Mikey had his first step yesterday, Wednesday, March 21, 2007! I wasn't there to see it, Tammy gets to be there for all of my sons first moments. Yeah, it really upsets me, but I have to do what I have to do to provide him with all of things that he needs (food, clothing and shelter). Once I get home from work he's all mine and we spend the night playing, laughing and having a great time. He gets so excited to play he can barley hold himself up standing without any support.

He's caught a cold, he's been fighting for 5 days now. It feels like forever and there isn't much I can do for him. He's no as miserable as he was the first of the week, so maybe he's finally getting better. His cough doesn't seem like it though. I'm glad he still has his big appetite and still begging for food. Him and Capone rush to see what you're eating and have to have a taste. I guess that's what happens when Mikey hangs around Capone too much!

Well, I have to cut this short, I must good feed his little bottom and get him ready for a bath and bedtime.

R & B

My little sister, Bonnie, is getting married! I'm so excited for her and Reuben. Reuben is such a nice guy, I'm more than happy to welcome him to the Anthony family. I've been asking when they were going to get married for a few years now.

I remember when B and a crush on R back in high school. Yeah, that's a good 9 years ago and they've been dating for (I think) 5 years, okay maybe 6.

I'm hoping B will let at least let me throw her a bridal shower, everyone else seems to be doing the rest. I guess because I'm a good 45 minutes away (too far for my family) that I don't get to be involved. I should be thankful that she told me she's getting married, I'm usually out of the loop when it comes to my family, oh well. This is her wedding and should be what she wants, not what I or anyone else wants.

This morning she told me how over whelmed she was with everyone telling her what to do. I guess I'm falling into that category as well. With B being the youngest of us 4 girls, everyone wants to be involved. She's not sure who to put into her line, I say forget a line.

She's thinking about having her wedding May 12th or the 19th, not too far from now. She would really like it on the 5th, but R's mother comes in that day and R has finals the before, so she doesn't want to stress him out even more than what he will be.

I tell you, I wish I was getting married. I know, I am married, but that's different. I didn't have your typical wedding, it just Mike and I with the bishop and Mike's parents to be witnesses. That does not count as a wedding. It's still a special day, February 10th, 2001, but I really want a wedding. I tell myself one day we'll get sealed in the Salt Lake Temple and we can go all out for that, so until then. I know what you're saying, because I tell myself that all the time, I'll be 80 by the time I get sealed, oh well, it's just a wish that I'll hope to have come true one day.

As for Bonnie, her lucky day is here to the man of her dreams.

Congratulations Bonnie and Reuben, Mike and I happy for you! (for your engagement and your new home, 2 excitements in one month!!)

Nice Weather for My Pup

It's nice to have some warm weather and more sun/day time when I get off work. I got home with the sun still shining, so I was able to start working on my yard. Capone was able to run around outside and get the exercise he needs to start shedding those winter pounds. That pup sure loves it outside, I can't wait until we're able to finish our back yard and give him a place where he can run around with a fenced area, so I don't have to worry about him running into the street.

First Tooth!

Mikey got his first tooth today! I've tried to get a picture, but he won't smile for me. It's about time, that tooth has just been treating him so bad. I'm excited that it finally broke through, so it won't be going back down! Teeth are mean to children, it makes them so moody and it does a number to them in every possible way. You think growing a tooth would be easy, at least I remember getting my big teeth to be not that painful, but for him, it would give him a slight fever every so often, his eating habit would go up and down and sometimes I couldn't get his butt to bed.

But lately he's been going through a grumpy stage lately, wanting to be held a lot. His lungs are working well, he runs around the house screaming and making all kinds of noises.
He's getting more mobile, but still not walking yet. We practice together. He has this thing about walking and standing on his toes. I hope he grows out of it. Mike's family calls him Kurt, because he walks on his toes too. Kurt is the clumsy of the family, he'll be just standing there and some how, some way he'll fall over or spill something.

Here's an old photo of me trying to do Mikey's a hair a few weeks ago. I tell you, that boy does not hold still. Just like his Dad, he has to be on the move and gets into everything. He's afraid he's going to miss something. I hope his ambition takes his future straight to the top and won't let anything stand in his way.

Time to go, I need to fix my boys some dinner. What I'm going to fix, I don't have a clue, but I'll think of something.
