Life has been moving along for the past couple of weeks.
Two weeks ago we started working on our bathroom. I’ve wanted to paint for a while now and finally I took the steps to start on that. Well this project seems to get bigger and bigger by the week. We tore out all the caulk around the shower and window, fixed all wall pops and even took out the toilet. Yes, the toilet has been removed from the bathroom for a good reason to. Due to our wonderful homebuilder that installed our toilet incorrectly, Spouse now has to fix it. It’s also a good thing, so we can paint behind it. Since all of those have been removed from our “to do” checklist, we have to sand the wall pops and start priming the walls and lastly slap on the color. Okay, it won’t be slapped on, it will be rolled on and a nice finishing touch of the air compressor.
The next day my Mother-n-Law invited Wally and me to go visit Tammy for her son’s (Drake) birthday party. Wally was extremely excited and didn’t know what he was getting himself into. Tammy lives in Cokeville WY, a good three hours away. Thanks to Google it ended up a four hour drive. He was such a good trooper and didn’t complain at all. He has been excited for weeks to go visit Drake, so maybe that’s why he was so wonderful. Despite the long drive he had a nice time playing with his favorite cousin.
The Spouse was able to move his work bench into the basement and his tool box into the garage. He is now putting up his bench grinder, except we bought the wrong size of bolts, so we will be making another trip to the Almond’s favorite store: Home Depot. We can’t seem to stay away from that place.

Midnight Cocoa Cravings
The spouse woke me up at 2:30 this morning to tell me it’s my turn, my turn for what? The baby is up and he wants you. I roll over to see if I can hear him up and a second later there’s my Wally, Mom Mom. I drag myself out of bed and the spouse tells me, “I tried to see what he wants, but he kept asking for you.” Without saying a word I slowly make my way into Wally’s room to find all of his blankets are thrown on the floor and the poor little man is laying face down into one of his stuffed animals. I lean over his bed and begin packing on the blankets, “Hi baby, what’s wrong.” I didn’t expect him to tell me he wanted a cocoa. I place his pillow back under his head and ask if he still wants that cocoa, he shakes his head yes. I walk into the kitchen to make him a warm chocolate milk and bring it to him, still half a wake he takes his cup, holds it close to his body and falls back to sleep with cocoa in hand.

Something Funny
I must tell you, I was laughing so hard I was in tears. What were you laughing at that was so funny, you may ask. Well, let me begin to tell you.
It was Thursday, February 26th and I was on my way home from work. Wally seat belted into his booster and I was talking on the phone with Bonnie, while Cars was playing to entertain him on his ride home - that can get pretty boring and long at times.
Every so often I look back to see how he's doing and because I just think he's the cutest little man I every did see. (I have to, I'm his Mother.) I happened to look back and Wally has his shoes and socks off, no big deal he always takes them off. Not too much longer after that I can expect him to take his coat off, that's just the way it goes; shoes, socks and coat get taken off as soon as possible. Minutes go by and I'm still on the phone, I look back and Wally is trying to take his pants off. "No Wally, keep your pants on", I try telling him. I'm sure it went in one ear and out the other or maybe it didn't even get to go in one ear, it's hard to tell. I continuing driving and talking for a while longer and look back again to find his shirt wrapped around his belly and chest. "Wally, what are you doing? You better leave that diaper on." I try once again to convince him to stay dressed. Did that work, nope, not even close because he was successfully undressed in the car while wearing his seat belt. (with the exception of his shirt - he wasn't able to get that off.)
I managed to get take a few pictures with my phone. . .
