Our Life as We Know It

Life since July feels like one huge ball of mess, it’s been hard and stressful. The Spouse’s work decided to relocate to Everett, WA where headquarters is based. They offered him a position out there and they kindly flew us out there to see if it was something we were interested in. It was beautiful and green. It was great weather the whole time we were there. It really could have been something we would have done, but so many factors came into play. Well, with me being pregnant things just didn’t work out. I mean what company would hire me being six months pregnant? Who would buy a home in EMC? Could I really live without my Husband for four months until after I had the baby? With all of these questions and more, I was confused and scared for the future. Without going into more detail, The Spouse was offered to stay where he was out. The stress of that was finally lifted off of our shoulders as it drug on for over a month.

Thinking it was the end of our stress, we blew an engine in one of the wave runners. Not a big deal, but who has the time and money to fix it? The Spouse was working nonstop. With the move of his company he was on mandatory weekends, I barely saw him. I thought that was hard.

The real trial came when his company needed him to fly out to Everett to help with the move and train his replacement since we would not be moving. Okay, I can handle him being gone for a bit. Two weeks without him (note: they do fly him home for the weekends so I do get one full day with him) I really began to miss him. We barely saw him with him being in UT and now that he’s in WA, it was just hard. I miss him terribly and the third week that he was supposed to fly out I caught the flu, it was awful. I almost had a break down, I begged for him to stay, but his job was to fly out and he was going to until he caught the flu and was unable to go. I was sad that he caught my flu, but happy that I was able to spend the whole week with him.

Not only having my husband gone, I blew two tires within two weeks of each other, I got rear ended, caught the flu and I really think I am losing my mind. I have no motivation and energy. I feel huge and immobile. My emotions are flying all over the place and my bed seems to be the only place I want to stay.

I wish it were the end of his traveling, but he still has 3 more weeks to go (and I bet they ask him to go out there even longer). Wally and I are surviving, but we miss him. We spend most of our time with the Grandparent’s, so it helps a lot.

On a happy note my sister’s threw me a surprise baby-shower.
