Yard Work

What a great day full of accomplishments. It was such great weather today Mike and I decided we'd spend our Saturday doing yard work to make our yard a little more presentable and nice.

Yesterday as I cleaned my house and spent time with Mieky I decided I want to go shopping and looking around, so when Mike got hoome I told him I was in the mood to go shopping. He told me to jump in the car and he took us to the Home Depot. I should have said what kind of shopping, instead of trusting him to take me where I want to go without saying a word. It turned out to be what I needed to satisfiy that need and we had a good time. Both of my boys like Home Depot, I tell you Mike is like a child in a candy store, he doesn't know where to start and he wants to look at everything. Mini Mikey seems to be the same way, he looks around at everything like this is the coolest place on Earth. He's almost 1, so what does he know, but he knows he likes this store above the rest, he never has fun at Target or Burrlington, so I know this is their store. Anyways we ended up getting a few things for the yard.

And our morning today started bright and early with Mikey waking us up at9:00, we got to sleep in a good half hour! I gave him breakfast and spruced up the inside of the house a little bit and then we dove right into our yard work for the whole day. Mikey was so amazing, just playing in his play pin on the porch as he watched me digging up the front yard somewhat of a garden. He talked to me while I worked and screamed a few times for me to pick him and hold him for a while. We had a good time, while Mike was in the back yard helping our neighbor clean the many weeds that infested all of our backyards. They had a fire pit going on and burned all of those nasty weeds and yes, our Christmas tree. By the way our backyard looks great now, considering it's not landscaped or fenced at all, but atleast you can see the dirt/rocks. Once Mike finished the back he came around to the front and helped me.

Our front is beginning to look great, but we still have a lot of work to do.

Mike is taking us to Panda Express for dinner, so I better jump off before he leaves without us! He is such a sweetie :)
